seiuns’ favourite anime: tsuritama
Okay, so one thing I really love about the last scenes of episode 8 is how Akira tries to coax George into believing him.
We have already heard Akira say his own name. We know he pronounces it like an average Japanese, intonation on the ‘Ya’.
But when he contacts George to get him off Haru’s track he says ‘It’s Yamada’. He intentionally mispronounces his own fucking name the way George does it, in an attempt to subconsciously manipulate him.
Sneaky bastard.

Last year, after I watched Tsuritama for the first time, I bought a sheet of pretty glittery vintage fish and thought it would be awesome to do a fanart with it but then never did. Now, after Chala and I rewatched it I thought I should finally do a Tsuritama fanart and use my pretty fish. When I finished the characters I realized the fish don’t fit the picture at all, so I removed them again :| … (I guess that means I’ll have to do another fanart so that I can use them :>?)
I’m happy I finally did a fanart for this show because I don’t only love the characters, the story and the weird humour, I also love the artstyle and colours so much!
